I am pleased to submit the following referral for Mr. Christopher Hurley CRSP, and Safety Services Canada Inc. (SSC). Colliers Project Leaders has always maintained that the safety of our people and our projects is an absolute priority. To aid in this commitment, we engaged Mr. Hurley in 2014 to provide ongoing leadership and guidance in regards to our health and safety obligations to our employees and our clients. Mr. Hurley has been an extremely valuable asset to our team in that his technical expertise, detailed engagement, and friendly demeanor has allowed us to ensure we can work through complex H&S issues with a focus on complying with legislative obligations and ensuring client satisfaction. Mr. Hurley has been a critical partner in the delivery of our larger Infrastructure Ontario projects since 2016. Now midway through our fourth such I/O project with SSC, with Mr. Hurley’s help we, along with all project contractors can happily say that we have not had a single lost time injury over the course of 120 million dollars in project work. Currently, we have engaged SSC to help us navigate the COR certification process in Ontario. Colliers Project Leaders look forward to continuing to work with Mr. Hurley and we have confidence in achieving this important goal in 2020. SSC and Mr. Hurley are our go to team for any expertise we require in the Health and Safety space.
We are pleased to provide this letter of reference for Safety Services Canada Inc. related to our past sucessful completion of many Rankin Construction projects on the Bruce Nuclear Power Development Site.  We engaged SSC in 2017 to bolster our safety program deliverables for our civil work performed primarily at the Bruce Power location in Tiverton Ontario.

Now into our third year of engagement, Chris has been an invaluable asset to the team in helping to ensure our safety documentation is in order, compliance standards are to the highest possible level, and our short and long term planning for upcoming projects is completed.  Chris has been a great on-site coach for our front line foreman, supervisors, and workers and has had significant impact to the sustainable delivery of our safety program and the expectations of all of our clients, including Bruce Power.

We have really apprecaited Chris' calm approach to managing tough topics, his nimble reponse to our needs, and the docus on ensuring good quality relationships with our workers and clients.  On behalf of Rankin Construction, we would strongly recommend SSC for any H&S needs you may have.
On behalf of Spinal Cord Injury Ontario, I am pleased to offer a positive referral for Hurley Consulting and their CARF Health and Safety Inspection services.  We engaged Mr. Hurley in 2016 to conduct the required annual comprehensive Health and Safety inspections to support our CARF accreditation initiatives.  Mr. Hurley has been a great resource to drive compliance with CARF requirements and helps promote continuous improvement with our Health and Safety Program.  His social services background ensures a keen sense of our business when interacting with our managers, staff and clients.  Technically competent and competitively priced, we would strongly recommend Hurley Consulting for your CARF inspection needs.

Daryl Jenkins, Vice President Creative Division Saatchi & Saatchi-TPM Division

"TPM Communications engaged SSC in 2012 to help us through a number of health, safety and risk management opportunities we had with our operation.  We were very happy with the service we received. The deliverables were very well documented, and quite thorough.  The information was succinct, easy to understand, and best of all it was customized to our specific operation, which was great.   Mr. Hurley has a very dedicated, hands on approach that we found very professional, answering all of our questions and providing us a level of service that exceeded our expectations.  I would definitely recommend SSC for your Health, Safety and Risk Management needs."

We at the Arbour Rehabilitation Centre/Shift were extremely impressed with the level of service SSC was able to provide to us in preparation for our CARF accreditation inspection.  Mr. Hurley was able to personally coach us through the specific CARF requirements around Health and Safety and went well beyond our expectations.  Not only did we pass the section, it helped to make our clinic safer for our staff and patients!  We would highly recommend SSC for your CARF third party Health and Safety inspections..
I've had the pleasure of working beside Chris for over 10 years. Chris is an excellent strategic thinker who has a unique ability to always find a constructive balance between policy and practicality. His straight-forward communication style resonates with all audiences and allows him to cut directly to the heart of issues. Chris is someone who knows his core values and consistently applies these to his decision making process. His willingness and ability to take on additional and complex roles within his portfolio makes him both a key gatekeeper and critical asset to the institution.
